Well.. Its been a long time. Now I'm back.. With a rather controversial and debatable topic. Ok.. let me begin...
This Society has been based on Oppression; Oppression of the weaker by the stronger. Along with the oppression of One sect by the other, there has been another kind of Oppression, in the same sect. (Which most of the modern women call Male chauvinism). Since times immemorial, in our very societies (say it be Hindu, Islam or Christian)..., women (in general) ( who were weaker physically n mentally ) have been oppressed by their male counterparts: sometimes through force and sometimes by persuasion. Our society was at peace when women were inside the kitchen and men were outside. ( Or should I say it had only problems due to other societies) May be world will be at peace if men are confined to the kitchen and women are outside. But with both the types facing each other, its impossible for the world to maintain peace n order. Of course its the natural tendency of everything to tend towards disorder; and I guess even the society is following the same.
P.S: I'm neither male chauvinist or a feminist. Its just my observation. And, as is the case with human beings, my observations are not always correct. ( Or may be there is no point in this meaningless paragraph. ). U can freely comment your opinions and correct my viewpoint.. Thank you.

hi ra. its a pretty late reply i thnk.. nyway i feel like saying smnthng in regard to ur post.. i feel the opression u mentioned abt is no longer a way of lyf in these times.. yes in the earliest times when the mankind evolved nd in the centuries tht ensued.. force or opression had bn the only means of existence.. the srntger civilasitions attackd weaker, extorted resources n xpanded boundaries.. then came d age of faith. wer ppl were bound by the superstitions n led an ignorant nd unquestioning life.. bt as time passed by.. ppl strted thnkng rationally.. r rather made to thnk rationally by..intellectuals n philosophers.. so by nw r dis century. gr8 many changes hav cme in the way of living of ppl.. v r accomadating reason mre dan the faith or oprsseive mindset.. m tlaking abt d western socitiies wer d gender ineqaulity u talked abt is negligible.. they r d mst advanced n peaceful nations nw on earth.. wer v in india r stil grappling wid the same old superstions n dogmas n hence lagging behind in the race... so.i guess. gender eqaulity is nt goin to do nythng to disturb the peaceful existence on dis earth..
